Terms & Conditions of our Service

In order to secure a date for installation and/or rental equipment from Deck the House Lighting a $100 deposit is required for all new residential customers, a $50 deposit for all return residential customers, and a 50% deposit for all Commercial Accounts & Homeowner Associations. The deposit shall be applied towards the total payment of all sums which now or hereafter become due and guarantee the full performance of all of the provisions of this rental agreement. PLEASE NOTE: The deposit is non-refundable. Client agrees that the deposit is forfeited as liquidated damages in the event they no longer want the service after booking. Client agrees to pay Deck the House Lighting the total due stated in the quote or invoice provided. The total remaining balance on the account is due AT THE TIME of installation. Invoices not paid within 24hrs after installation will be charged an additional $10 a day. We reserve the right to remove our equipment should client not pay after 10 days.  

Deck the House Lighting has obtained a general liability insurance policy to cover the liability of Deck the House Lighting and its crew. Clients shall indemnify and hold Deck the House Lighting & its employee's harmless from and against, any and all damages, and/or liability in excess of, or excluded from the liability insurance coverage referenced herein. If Deck the House Lighting is required to add any organization or venue as an additional named insured, additional fees may apply.

Permanent light installations are not subject to the following rental agreement: 

Rental Agreement

This contract is by and between the named person or entity listed on the quote which now shall be referred to as the Renter and Deck the House Lighting. The Renter agrees that the rented equipment is to be used only at the address designated. Subleasing is prohibited. During the time the rental equipment is in the possession of the Renter and not in possession of Deck the House Lighting, Renter is held responsible for all rental equipment. Renter is not to modify or change any of the display, doing so could cause the circuit to become overloaded and damage the equipment. If rental equipment is lost or stolen, a police report must be filed. Renter agrees to pay the fair market value of the goods in the event of their theft, loss, or total damage regardless of the cause or fault, while the equipment is in their possession. “Total Damage” shall be defined as damage to the equipment, the repair of which would necessitate a cost greater than the fair market value. Renter is to make all groundskeepers, gardeners, landscapers, housekeepers or other maintenance workers aware of the installation so that they do not cause damage to equipment.  Renter agrees to report any damage or loss of rental equipment to Deck the House Lighting immediately and not later than 24 hours after such accident, loss, or damage. 

The rented equipment is property of Deck the House Lighting and is rented for the period of time stated. Deck the house will make every effort to complete installations in a single day but makes no guarantees to the timeliness of the install. Setups and tear downs happen 24 hours a day 7 days a week and may take more than one day based on product availability and staffing. If there are specific HOURS YOU DO NOT WANT CREWS INSTALLING OR REMOVING EQUIPMENT, you must tell us in advance! Once rental equipment has been installed, no refunds will be given. The removal of lighting equipment will happen within 3 weeks of rental period ending.

In the event of Equipment Failure that is the fault of Deck the House Lighting, Deck the House Lighting agrees in its discretion, to make the rental equipment operable within a reasonable time, once notified, or provide Renter with a like item if available. CALLS FOR ANY OTHER SERVICE, MAINTENANCE OR MODIFICATIONS AFTER THE INSTALLATION IS COMPLETE WILL BE BILLED $40 EACH TRIP. Renter can opt for our Service & Maintenance Flat Rate plan of $75 for free servicing throughout the entire season.
